It is the first time that this method has been used in Uruguay. Even though it has contra indications 5,6: Urolithiasis, vesicoureteral reflux, urinary tract malign pathology, medical prosthesis with magnets and electronic components, patients in radiotherapy and vesical instability, and knowing its possible complications described in the published works 5,6 like the migration of the siliconed sheath, the occlusion of the valve by sediment, irritation of the urinary tract or at last, the malfunction of the prosthesis; we have a new method that could constitute a new alternative treatment of great effectiveness for recurrent urinary urinary incontinence.
We emphasize that its main advantage is that it is not a surgical method, it is of easy setting and extraction, included by the patient, in an ambulatory way, of easy handling and with a rapid tolerance to the device.
Besides, this prosthesis has a great potential for geriatric patients and patients with chronic invalidating pathologies treated at home, not only for asthetic interest but for the cost-benefit relation.
The only inconvenience at the beginning of the treatment was the bad tolerance to the prosthesis, having adapted rapidly. Up to this date the patient has had a good evolution, being continent and having a complete and normal life. She has not presented any of the complications described in the medical literature, having been a year since its placement.
